Summer 2007 Programs and Performances

All programs are free and most are made possible through collaboration with the Georgetown County Recreation & Leisure Services Division, the Friends of the Georgetown Library, and contributions from caring individuals.

Get-A-Clue Storytime for ages 2 - 5.

Thursdays, Drop-in Anytime! Georgetown Main Branch
Get-A-Clue @ Your Library Reading Club.

Thursdays 10:00am - 11:30am Georgetown Main Branch
Movie Time.

Wednesdays 10:00am - 11:00am Special Guest Performances at the Howard Community Auditorium, corner of Hawkins & Kaminski streets. Bring $2.00 for a "Reel Deal" Refreshment.

    June 13 ... Carolina Circus Clowns
    June 20 ... Van Doren & Co.
    June 27 ... Columbia Marionettes
    July 11 ... PorkChop Productions
    July 18 ... Midyette Magic

Wednesdays 1:00pm - 3:00pm Children Reading For Children, at each branch location June 13 to July 25 (excluding July 4th). A summer reading program for children ages 6 to 14. Sponsored by the Georgetown Hospital System Foundation Board and Women's Board.

Drop by the library and complete a registration form. An Awards Ceremony will be held August 1, 2007. All students, parents and sponsors will be invited to celebrate the program completion.

  • Pre-registration is encouraged. Limited spaces are available.
  • As space permits, volunteers will register your child on the first day of the program.
  • Reading monitors will record attendance and participation.
  • Trophies will be awarded to students having the two highest total recorded minutes of reading time.
  • All participants will receive a framed certificate and a prize.
